SEPT. 24, 2011 - The Bride looked wonderful and the couple had their Moroccan vision created.  My role started April/May with the important initial Bride consultation, then we continually updated each other.  Meetings with the Bride's family and the venue on a regularly basis ensured that everything was kept on track.  I created a time-line and pre-wedding contacted all the vendors and the day of the reception I was on-site bright and early with the decorators.  Offering my assistance to all the parties that required it to ensure everything was perfect.

Role involved connecting with all vendors from March until the day of the wedding.  Arriving at the ceremony/reception venue the previous day to ensure availability and assistance with the many items being delivered.  Day of ceremony/reception on-site at 6:00 a.m. to coordinate and assisted with the bridal party and many vendors involved.  Keeping everything on time and running smoothly.  Answering the many queries that arose and directing as necessary.

JULY 31, 2011 - East Indian ceremonies and receptions are beautiful and full of colour, with fantastic entertainment and lots of food.  As Wedding Coordinator I started my role the previous evening at 6:00 p.m. to assist with band rehearsals.  Pre-meetings with the couple and their respective families ensured everything was itemized on their full itinerary.  Ceremony and wedding day started at 6:00 a.m. and I wore many hats; assisted staff by putting favours onto the guests dinner tables, gave suggestions to the decorator as we shared the  couples vision, helped vendors/entertainers/D.J/photographer/band, guests, parents and of course the bride and groom until the guests were dancing.  It was a fun packed day for all the 350 guests and there were lots of happy faces.

This beautiful wedding took place at The Clearing in Shedden. The reception required 3 hexagon tents 40' square in size and 1 for the classical trio - as Wedding Coordinator I was on-site 2 days prior to the wedding to ensure the tents were placed in the right area and the ground would be dry and perfect for the reception set-up. I conversed with the caterers on a regular basis to ensure that the wedding couple had exactly the menu selection they had chosen. From 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. I was on-site to ensure everything went smoothly and seamlessly.

This wedding and reception necessitated travelling and communication between the ceremony site on Hamilton Mountain and the reception near the town centre at Liuana Station.  I assisted at the church reception plus organizing their small after ceremony reception.  As the decorator had been delayed I tied ribbons on 350 guests chairs in the reception location to ensure we kept on time.  As a Wedding Coordinator you wear many hats but your main mandate is to ensure that everything turns out perfect for the couple.
