Educated in the United Kingdom Sue Anderton-Howe immigrated to Canada. Attendance at a Secretarial
College in England gave her the qualifications to work within large corporate organizations as an Executive
Assistant to Top Management, she was always requested to be involved with various projects that required meticulous
detail, good communication skills and wearing a multitude of hats, it was a natural progression to become a Certified Event
Planner.
Sue started working at Diageo an international company in 1998, then in 2000 was offered a
newly created role Training/Event Coordinator. September 2003 she was transferred
to Connecticut, for nearly 3 years, to assist with a Nationwide training project and during her time in the U.S.
Sue travelled to 23 markets, being involved with over 1,000+ participants. Major skills were required in budget management
and orchestrating on-site venues to the highest level.
After relocating back to
Canada from Connecticut she took a 9-month role at Huron University College as Executive
Assistant to the Principal and added skills of coordinating educational events which included 3 Convocations,
various types of faculty parties and a 250 invitational Founders Day Dinner. Sue also worked for 4-months
as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Medical Officer of Health for the Bruce Peninsula
plus taking a 6-month assignment to work within Union Gas creating a Corporate Planner Analyst
Role, after a short period she became Team Leader of the 4-person Corporate Planning Team.
Sue obtained a Certified Event Planner Diploma
passing with distinction from the Institute of Event Planning in the U.K. She made a decision to utilize her skills in
the world of Weddings, after numerous hours of research created a unique overview that provides couples with information
to help them coordinate and plan their Special Day themselves.
Sue is Smart Serve Certified a priority within the
hospitality and event planning industry that ensures all guests do not "Drink & Drive".

Actively involved within the world of networking, she manages the Chatham LinkedIn Group and tries

Sue also had an article published in the June
2010 edition of Networking Today, entitled "Is there an Art to Networking" .
